10th Annual Charity Golf Tournament and Auction

5K Run/Walk
The 5K Run/Walk for literacy sponsored by Metals Recycling was held on May 15, 2005. This was the first time the run was held in Johnston and it was a great success.  We had 151 runners and 27 walkers.  We raised $5,825.00.  Participants included former Olympians Amy Rudolph and Keith Kelly.

Pennies for Literagy Drive
Last years Pennies for Literagy Drive was held October 12th thru 29th.  Fifteen school were involved and generously raised $7,851.39.  Bernon Heights School came in first place, St. Teresa was the second place winner and also the per-capita winner and Old County came in third place.  First place classrooms from all 15 school received a pizza party thanks to Ronzio Pizza.   This years Pennies for Literacy Campaign in Northern RI Schools will take place October 11th - 28th 2005.
